Martin was invited to write a piece for the journal discussing M&S recent application and consent to demolish their flagship Oxford Street store.
The piece received a strong reception and racked up 300+ online engagements with the topic.

Heritage Trust Network (Conference)
Martin was invited to present to the conference about ‘retro-fit’.
He argued that ‘retro-fit’ is simultaneously the greatest challenge and opportunity for the built environment and heritage in particular.

Future Business District (Colmore Bid)
Martin was asked to join the Future Business District Steering Group.
The group guided the research and synthesised the conclusions into a report. This was then presented to and subsequently supported by Birmingham City Council and its leadership.
The report laid out a vision for a business district which is inclusive, low carbon, walkable business district which operates as a platform for more than just work and commerce.
